Workout (Stretch)
BodyFlow: 12:10-1:10pm
I have been noticing that my flexibility is increasing and I am able to get much further into a lot of the yoga positions that I have before. I don't know if it's a result of my muscles lengthening from all the running and body pump that I've been doing, but I can definitely twist myself into positions that I was unable to do before. I'm really liking Body Flow because of the combination of yoga and pilates - yoga works your core (abs) regardless, but the pilates part kicks ass because it's hard and it HURTS but I can feel it working and I'm getting much better at them so this can only mean really good things for my abs :).
I caught a glimpse of myself during the tai chi part of the class as we were moving from one move to the other and I was a little startled, partly because of how I looked (even I can start seeing the difference in my physical form) but also because of how fluid my movement seemed to be - I have never been a graceful person but to see me moving so smoothly was a bit jarring and also very satisfying. I made fun of the tai chi portion when I first started BodyFlow, but now I'm starting to see the benefits...I'm liking it quite a bit.
