Ted told me the other day to really watch my heartrate during my cardio and to try and keep it from creeping up as high as it's been going, which he acknowledged would be hard to do with the temperatures in TO what they've been this past week. Keeping my heart rate down means not pushing myself the way that I have been while running, so it means running slower, which you would think I would prefer but I don't because then I don't run as far. Ted keeps telling me it's not about how far I run right now, but for how long and eventually, as I get in better shape and my heart can handle more exertion, then I will be able to run faster while keeping my heart rate in the range it needs to be in for optimal results. It's pretty exciting to have a PT as part of our staff - but I think pretty soon he's going to start invoicing me if I don't stop showing up in his office with 'just one more question' :).

Tried on some of my capris from last summer, ones that definitely weren't fitting and imagine my excitement when not only did they fit, but they were a little lose! The interesting thing is that I bought these pants when I was 10lbs (or more) less than what I am now, which means that since I weigh more now, that weight is coming from the muscles that I must be building in Body Pump. AND, when Rebecca and I were walking up the stairs to Body Flow this afternoon, Rebecca was behind me on the stairs and she made a comment about my butt looking really good. YES! :)

Body Pump tomorrow morning which I'm looking forward to (since I missed Tuesday - poor Rebecca who went thinking I would be there and set up my step and all my weights), and then Step on Friday which I'm sorta-kinda-maybe looking forward too.

I wonder what other clothes I'll fit into by the end of the summer?

Workout (Stretch Only)
Yoga: 12:00pm-1:00pm

The plan was to go to Body Pump at 7:30am, Rebecca was even there and got me setup but I went to bed too late the night before and when the alarm went off at 6am I couldn't get up and go. I wanted too, but I couldn't - it was the kind of exhausted weariness that makes you nauseous. In fact, I knew I had to work until 9 so I decided to stay in bed until 10:30 and made it to work just in time to get to yoga at noon.

Not a lot of exercise, but better than nothing :).

Weekly Workout Summary
Sunday: N/A
Monday: N/A
Tuesday: Body Pump (am), Yoga (Lunch)
Wednesday: Cardio (20 minute run, 3km)
Thursday: Body Pump (am)
Friday: Cardio (Step class)
Saturday: Cardio (65 min, Run/Walk Combo, 8km)

Total Days Working Out: 5/7

Workout (Weights & Stretch)
BodyPump (9:30-10:30)
BodyFlow (10:30-11:30)

Total Workout Time: 2 Hours

Average Heartrate (During BodyPump): Mid-140s

BodyPump was challenging today - I'm thinking it's because I'm pushing myself and did more cardio in the past two days than I often do in a week. I decided to stay for the BodyFlow class afterwards - I'd never tried it before because I usually prefer to do just yoga whereas BF is a combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates. I felt silly doing the Tai Chi, felt like a pro doing the yoga, and struggled a bit with the Pilates (it really hurt, but in a good way!)
